# 1 Tomato Plant Cutting

#2 Three inch peat pot

# 3 Ready for the Garden
CLONING TIP:  For anyone getting a late start in the garden this year, it’s never too late to clone from an existing tomato plant that a friend or relative may have.  #1 Take a cutting from a fairly mature tomato plant and place it in a glass of water.  In one week, you will have a very good root system. #2 Take a 3-inch peat pot and place the cutting in the pot with organic potting soil. #3 At the end of your second week the plant will look like the above photo and it is ready for the garden!  Always try to keep your cuttings outside in partial shade.
